innovative artist residencies & events in underused buildings

About

Goodyear Arts is a residency and events program based on this truth: Artists need space, time, money, and community.

Space

Goodyear Arts utilizes otherwise empty buildings. Resident artists have private studios, and our gallery space features their work and the work of others.

TIME

Residencies last two months, with 24/7 studio access & a continuing alumni studio program. Studio & performance space can be requested for short-term use.

Money

Resident artists are paid stipends. Purchases of art support artists & the program. Goodyear Arts is supported by corporate and foundation funding.

Community

Each residency concludes with a free public showcase. Simultaneous residencies provide interaction & critical feedback. Visiting artists build connections.

Our story

Goodyear Arts evolved from the pilot program Skyline Artists in Residence, which took place from July 2015 - January 2016 in an defunct Goodyear owned and donated by Crescent Communities. Goodyear Arts has since taken over a second building donated by Daniel Levine on College Street from July 2016 - August 2017. Goodyear Arts is now located at Camp North End in a building donated by ATCO for a three year period.
