SPRING RESIDENCY SHOWCASE 2023

xavia-margrith miles is a poet, assemblist, and enchantress. xavia-margrith wields absurdist sensibilities to cultivate intimacy with impermenance, desire, and divinity. Horror films, toys, and nature animate play and her exploration of wildness and interdependence. xavia-margrith earned her AB in English and minor in Africana Studies and Film Studies from Bryn Mawr College.

In Wormwood Letters: Correspondence from Sugarland Goodyear bones, organic matter, and familiar anatomical structures cast the beginnings of a cabinet of curiosities. These elegies were a place to re-member, wallow in, and hold tenderly experiences of loss and ways of being (reader insert preposition here) loss.
