HOLLY KEOGH
Collective Artist
July 2015
Holly Keogh (American, b. 1991) appropriates family photographs, specifically ones that have been excluded from the family photo album or narrative, to investigate the limitations of any archival practice. These discarded photographs take on new life as they are distorted and translated into large oil paintings. Keogh’s work is intuitive and experimental, aiming to create a sensory experience that brings awareness to how different mediums construct our reality. The artist lives and works in Charlotte, North Carolina.
