JOYRIDE: A DRIVE FOR GOODYEAR ARTS
Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7
At Camp North End
From the safety of their cars, guests will be invited to cruise through art activations and experiences designed by local artists from the Goodyear Arts Collective. Cars will be directed through the sprawling 76-acre campus of Camp North End, the current home of Goodyear Arts. Site-specific works from performers and visual artists will emerge from hidden corners, bay doors, and be projected onto the massive walls of the creative re-use warehouses. The audience will be guided through the pre-set path with the help of an audio experience presented via their smartphones. All guests will be asked to remain in their cars during the art experience which will span about one hour.
Participating artists include: JM Askew and Casey Malone, Amy Bagwell, Renee Cloud, de’Angelo Dia, Ghost Trees, Eric Mullis and Joy Davis, Matt Steele and Ben Geller, and XOXO.
